University Offers Beatles Master’s Degree
You may already have a bachelor’s in the Fab Four, but thanks to Liverpool Hope University you can now continue your studies and earn your master’s in The Beatles.
“There have been over 8,000 books about The Beatles but there has never been serious academic study and that is what we are going to address,” Mike Brocken, LHU’s senior lecturer in popular music told Reuters. “Forty years on from their break-up, now is the right time and Liverpool is the right place to study The Beatles.”
The first course added, called “The Beatles, Popular Music and Society,” is fairly rigorous, involving four 12-week taught modules and a dissertation. LHU says this course is the UK’s first ever postgraduate Beatles course and it could be the first of its kind in the world.
Now where could one become a Doctor of The Beatles?
